What a Summer!!

This is one very long recap of summer of July and August. Everything has been so much more fun having a baby around. We just love our Lincoln boy! Time is just flying by! First we celebrated my 22nd birthday on July 11th. We went out to eat with family at Gloria's Little Italy Restaurant and then relaxed at home.

Devin and Julianne came to lunch with us for my birthday.

Sheehan watched the baby all morning so that I could sleep which was wonderful. Lincoln started smiling the week of my birthday real big so we got some cute pictures now of him. His bald head grew a little hair on top now so he is starting to look like a cute little boy.

My birthday dinner at Tucano's. Lincoln was a very happy boy for Mom!

We spent 4th of July hanging out at the Freedom Festival and then spent the evening up in nice, cool Heber City.

I was pretty excited to put Lincoln in this patriotic onesie. He looked so festive. :)

It was so nice to get away from the heat and go up into the mountains. Bailey came to visit us over 4th of July.

We love have Bailey around. We are truly the Beetles...

We went to a Polynesian Dance Show that I thought was so cool! They had dances from Fiji, New Zealand. Samoa, Hawaii, and they even danced with fire. It was fun and we got yummy Kahlua pork with the show.

This is Lincoln's baby announcement picture we took when he was 3 weeks old. Lys did a great job editing it to perfection.

This is an old picture I found that I thought was so cute! He was about 1-2 weeks old.

This picture is one of my favorites. He was just starting to smile and show his sweet personality. He looks so chubby and cute with his old man hair. haha

Around 2 months.

Random Picture: This was a carseat cover I made for a past supervisor. I'm not sure I ever put a documented picture. It was so cute! I was pretty proud of myself...

Lincoln loves books. No matter how boring or colorful. He pats the hymn book while we sing in Sacrament and blows raspberries to Grover in "A Monster at the End of This Book" which is what we are reading together in the picture below. So  S-C-A-R-Y!

Lincoln and I went back to Gigi's and Papi's in Bear Valley Springs, California on Monday August 6th to visit after the baby blessing. Lincoln was a party animal on the drive down and stayed up until midnight while we were driving. Not too much crying; he just wanted to be in the know and see what everyone was doing. He is a notorious cat napper and if there are people around besides Mom and Dad a nap is not going to happen. He is a quiet observer and just wants to watch what everyone is doing. Lincoln did really great the whole trip to California and he LOVES Gigi. He just falls asleep while she holds him (like I said before long naps are rare).

Julianne came to California, too so we sewed, crocheted, knitted, and cooked new recipes. We were quite the homemakers-in-training. We had an adventure down in Los Angeles: first getting stylish haircuts with Courtney and then moving on to the Ahmanson Theater where we saw Mary Poppins.

We had to eat at Tommy's for old memories and then on the way home in crazy downtown L.A. we ate at a "Roach Coach". Their beans were pretty fantastic I must admit. We turned on the lights in the car momentarily to see the food then decided it may be best we can't see what we were eating...it tasted to good and at the moment. Obliviousness was bliss. The husbands (Devin and Sheehan) missed us too much so they came down Saturday on the 11th to spend the next week with all of us going to Carpinteria Beach. It was beautiful weather and we got our tans on! It was so hot everywhere else but so nice to enjoy 70-75 degree weather in Carpinteria. I really missed cool weather after living through the hottest summer in recorded history in a house that does not have air conditioning. We got to wear sweaters one night at the beach which I was pretty excited about. It has been awhile since we have had good sweater weather.

Eating at the Spot

Sheehan digging holes for the kids.

Lincoln didn't really care about being in the water. He was just watching it run over his feet.

Kiley playing on the beach.

Lincoln eyeing all of the food at the Spot!

Ladies and gentlemen we have a tooth! I just can't get his fingers out of his mouth to get a picture of it. He is getting both the bottom front teeth but one is showing a little more than the other.
Sheehan is starting a home inspection business. We are really excited about it and he is working really hard to get it going. Here is his certificate after passing the school program and test.

Lincoln in one of his jumpers. His little arms were stuck but he was pretty happy in it. He just wants to be his own man.

Sheehan likes to take photos of Lincoln while he is trapped in his car seat. He keeps him entertained until we all get in the car.

This was sometime at the end of July. We just happened to get him to smile real big.
Dad and his boy!

Giggles!

Hey my name is Lincoln.... sometimes I hold my own bottle. I am a real gentleman with my pinky out.
