My Pharmacy Tech Internship

So I quit my job. This pic was taken on my last day of work at Elite. We had a Halloween party so I dressed up as an alarm sales rep. I wore Sheehan's khaki shorts, work shirt, and name badge. I only gave them a one week notice (horrible!) but I couldn't pass up this offer. Katie Pezzillo (true friend) got into a pharmacy internship with Shared Pharmacy in Murray, Utah about 30 minutes to 1 hour away from where we are in Provo. She hooked me up and got me in right after she finished her internship. It is a 180 hour internship to get my license and I already passed the national exam back in March. It all happened so fast but I am so excited and I LOVE it!!! I am so happy that I am finally finishing the schooling I started. I can now put my degree and hard work to some good! I am about halfway through my internship. I started on Monday, November 1st, and will be done by November 30th. So far, so good. I haven't made too many mistakes and the people I work with are so fun! I can't wait to find an official position as a pharmacy technician.
Sheehan is working on wrapping up his accounting class and is studying for the final. He is so smart! Everything has worked out so perfectly for Sheehan and I. It has been such a blessing and so fun to have Devin living with us. Devin bought a new car and that has enabled me to use the Camry to drive to Murray Monday through Saturday while Sheehan uses my parent's Mercedes that Devin was using before he bought his sweet new car. Sheehan has been working at Wells Fargo almost 2 months now and is doing so great! He is making sales, getting 5 out 5 customer service ratings, and getting a lot of compliments from his managers for his performance and smarts! I am so happy right now and am loving this time in our life! I miss a paycheck but I am looking forward to getting a job as a pharmacy tech.
Good bye everyone at Elite! It was a great summer!

Cakes, Family, and Fairs

So I have a new found hobby of cake decorating that is getting more and more fun with each new idea and technique! I love it! Here is the start...
We went to the Utah State Fair to see my little second cousin, Bailey, show her pig.

We watched all kinds of goats and pigs come through. I couldn't believe how many there were and that people pay so much for one of them! It was a new experience and we loved watching Bailey show her pig.
Bailey and her pig. We asked her if it had a name...she said, "We don't name them....we just call them bacon."

Family Visits and the Heber City Parade

We've had lots of family gathering since we've been in Utah which has been really nice so that we don't feel so far away from our California family. Aunt Michelle adopted a baby boy. His name is Max. Sheehan is really good with all kids and was up for any task we asked him to do with them. He really liked the little noises and snoring that Max made while he was sleeping on Sheehan. Sheehan even took a little nap himself.... We all went to Heber, Utah to be in the parade with all of the Blairs. We had some time to kill as we waited for the parade to begin and Sheehan was the designated Jungle Gym as he ran around terrorizing and playing with all of the kids.

We were proud Smith's Food and Drug candy throwers for the Heber City Parade. My Uncle is currently one of the longest working employees for Smith's and manages the meat department at the Heber store. We wore our Smith's hats and shirts proudly as we threw candy and fruit snacks at the old ladies in their chairs and the young kids running up to us. Every once in a while Sheehan, Devin , or I accidentally pelted an old lady with a candy to head...oops....
We had a great time and ended the day with some great fair food! Love IT!!!

Life in Utah

We are so happy to be in Utah!

We LOVE our married student ward, our apartment, and life in general. Sheehan finally, after a long interview process, got a job at Wells Fargo as a teller. He starts September 3rd and we are so excited! My work is going really good at Elite Security and there is even a raise in the works (Yes!). Sheehan just got called into the Sunday School Presidency as a counselor and I am the Ward Historian. I have never heard of a ward historian before but apparently there is a whole building in Salt Lake City dedicated to ward and stake historical records. So I get to write the history for the 172nd in the BYU 9th Stake. Only in Utah can you be in a 172nd ward...but we love it!! We have had a crazy couple weeks getting settled in. We've given our new member talks in Sacrament and everything.... Now we are getting old in our always changing married, student ward!
We've had lots of family come to visit over the past month and that we have had a chance to visit. We had a really good time with all of them. Now we are exhausted!
Sheehan went with Aunt Michelle and Zach to the Discovery Center in SLC and had probably the best time of the three! Sheehan lifted Zach up on his shoulder and Zach quickly slipped Sheehan's glasses and hat off and put them on and this is what Aunt Michelle found when she turned around. The crinkled nose says it all....

Overall we can't be happier and we know that we are where we are supposed to be!
