We started off celebrating 4th of July at a Patriotic Music and Firework show at Thanksgiving Point Gardens. I really enjoyed it and am so grateful Sheehan is willing to go do shows with me. Katie and her parents were able to come along but left early after we all started to get eaten alive by the mosquitos. They didn't bother me so much. Sheehan had food in his mouth in this picture.
Poor Katie had an infected cyst on her face and somehow her bandage got stuck on me while giving her treats and I didn't notice until getting all the way back to our blanket on the grass. I took this picture with my Mom holding the bandage to inform Katie she was missing something. Katie was cracking up at my Mom's face. hahaha
On the actual 4th of July we started the day at the Provo Freedom Days Parade. My Mom's real estate office had a tent set up right on the street so no overnighters out on the street this year for our family. They also had a full breakfast waiting for us. We went back home and just lounged around with the kids and took naps to prepare to stay up late at Grandma Bev's.
We shot off some fireworks at Grandma Bev's but there were no aerials allowed this year. We didn't want to set her hillside on fire!
My heart stops when Sheehan throws Vance in the air. He throws him so high and Vance is completely trusting. He doesn't try to hold on or anything.
The end of the night we watched the fireworks off of Grandma's balcony. There were so many! It seems like there are more and more fireworks all over the valley every year. So fun and one of my favorite traditions.
