Vegas Family Visits

Because I am a poor picture taker I don't have many pictures of our Vegas trip. Most pics I have in the blog come from other people...
The moon was so bright and huge I managed to take a terrible picture that gives it no justice. It was also Friday the 13th.

While Sheehan and Seth were at the temple for Seth's endowment the boys and I hung out at Seth's house. Lincoln LOVED their doggies. They were adorable. At first he was a little unsure about them and within a couple hours he and all the dogs were cuddling on the couch.

Our family visits in Vegas were the first of our 10 day trip to Carpinteria and then back home through Yosemite. It was really great for Sheehan to be able to go through the temple with his brother Seth and we enjoyed our visit with them and Colleen.

Building the Fence

Having a very active two year old, I insisted on building a fence in the front yard so he can play outside without me worrying about him running into the street. It's been quite a project but is looking so good! I can't wait to see it completed. Next we will add sprinklers and sod. I am so excited!
Mr. Perry has been so awesome helping us along the way. Weekend after weekend.

Lincoln has loved "helping" along the way. He goes around with his toy drill and pushes his tractors around picking up rocks and dirt. It's a big job for this little boy.

Vance and I just hang out inside or sit on the porch and watch the boys work away. We make them food, grab water, and cheer them on.

When Lowe's brought the supplies to us Lincoln could NOT contain his excitement. He jumped and squealed. He ran in circles and watched in awe as the forklift unloaded the goods off the truck.

Vance on the other hand was a little bothered by all the noise trying to wake him up.

Digging the postholes took these poor guys all day. 7 am -10 pm. They were exhausted. We even rented a huge post hole digging machine but it hardly moved through the river rocks and clay-like dirt. We called in some reinforcements around 5 pm when Mr. Perry and Sheehan had completely lost their grip and strength.

Sheehan performed some circus tricks as he stood on top of the post hole digger to add weight and break through the dirt.

Meanwhile....Lys and I decided to put highlights in my hair. Lys has never bleached hair before but does a great job dying all of our hair so we thought we'd experiment. She did a great job!

Both my hair and the fence are coming along nicely!

Early Summer Outings

Walking in Daddy's shoes

Vance will no longer take a bottle but Lincoln was being very thoughtful and wanted to help out so he tucked this little bottle in Vance's arm. He is always trying to be so helpful with baby Vance. He likes to put blankets on him and push him onto his back when he rolls on his side. haha He gets very concerned when he is crying and likes to pat Vance on the head.

For Father's Day we gave Papi a card with all 5 grandkids holding a letter. Vance did great with his photo shoot but Lincoln was a little more creative. This was the best picture I could get after chasing him throughout the house and outside in the dirt.

Sheehan hanging out with Baby Vance and Bagheera photo bombing in the background.

We went up Hobble Creek Canyon with my family. We checked out places to camp with the RV and ate chicken tacos. Mmm Mmm.

Papi played with all his little grandbabies and they loved it!

Lincoln took Papi's hat and hung out in the back of the motorhome as we drove back home.

Lincoln and I took a walk to the park to play in the splash pad. He was not thrilled about the splash pad and the baby was not happy about sitting in the hot stroller so it was a total fail of an outing. Lincoln did enjoy playing on the swings for a while. That was the extent of the fun on that day. We came back home shortly after and tried to have a better day...tried being the key word.

I love snuggles with this little baby. I can't say enough about how easy he is and how GRATEFUL I am that he is so easy. It has made the transition to two kids so much easier than I expected.

Lincoln and I have been struggling over naptime. Some days it goes great and other days he absolutely refuses. This was one of those days then I came downstairs and found him on the couch face down passed out.
Mom-1 Lincoln-32...

One of the perks I have found of living in Provo so close to downtown is the Farmer's Market. I absolutely love going and listening to the live bands, eating the good food, seeing the cute crafts, the whole bit!
A new addition to the Farmer's Market is pony rides! Lincoln liked looking at them but not riding them so much. We didn't make it through the entire ride and I had to hold him the entire time.

Bunk Beds & a Slide!

I
I love this picture of Sheehan and Lincoln. My favorite part is that I put two different colored socks on Lincoln. It happens all the time and it drives Sheehan mad. Obviously, I am not bothered by the lack of color coordination. At least he has socks on...

Lincoln boy got a new bed and helped Daddy set it up! He was so excited to use the drill. He took it very seriously.

See that focus with his mouth wide open!
When baby Vance is ready to move into a big bed we'll have him on the floor bunk and Lincoln on the top bunk. For now Lincoln is sleeping on the bottom inside the tent covers. He hangs out under there all the time watching Curious George on his Kindle or playing with his Spiderman nightlight.

The mattresses arrived the next day and I haven't taken a pic of the slide but I have video I'll add later.

Mommy got a new present too. A new couch! I was tired of cleaning spills off the microfiber so we now have leather.
