Proud Parents

Since now-a-days it's obvious our whole lives (and blogging) revolve around Lincoln there is no need to break the habit now. As we were watching the NBA finals as a family this year, (we were very disappointed with the Heat victory) we found that Lincoln will sit still long enough to watch a good quarter of the game. With his apple cinnamon sticks in hand he just sat there and watched...it was amazing. Not only is he watching the one sport Sheehan and I share a mutual love for but he managed to sit still for longer than 5 minutes. It was really a cause for celebration on all accounts.

Just watchin' the game

These Cheerio pictures are for no other reason but for my happiness. He is clearly in the middle of a very important statement and I couldn't help but laugh at the Cheerio in the middle of his forehead.

"Mom, Let me tell you about the circle of life. It's a lot like this Cheerio..."

Tracy Aviary and Summer BBQ's

Lys and I took the kids to the Tracy Aviary. Besides it being very hot it was fun!

This is the best shot I could get with Lincoln and a bird. Both parties were far too "flighty" ;) to sit still long enough for a picture.

A bad habit has returned where Lincoln will not fall asleep, and oftentimes stay asleep, if Sheehan or I do not hold him or lay on the floor with him. We'll work on breaking the habit again but for now we are enjoying that he wants us around since someday he'll grow up and not need us anymore.

When we do manage to get him to sleep in his own bed we often find him sporting the "stinkbug" position on his knees with his little bum high in the air.

Lincoln is a work-aholic apparently. As soon as he comes into our room he runs straight to the computer and starts clicking and typing away as fast as he can before getting caught.

Why does he have to look so cute when he is doing such bad things!?

Lys and I were in Salt Lake and decided to go to the Asian festival to kill some time. It was very interesting and I wish we had gotten there in time to get egg rolls! Next year I am there.

The L Squad (Lincoln and Lexi) were far more entertained pushing or being pushed around in the stroller in the lobby. It went on for quite a while...

Typical lunch: steamed carrots and hot dogs

I had to document this somewhere because I thought it was so cute. Lincoln got a little adoption certificate with his Scout dog. Sometimes he plays with it. He usually just wrestles the stuffed animals then runs off to grab a car or tractor...

We went to a Bring-your-own Kabob-B-Que at our friends and for dessert I found this fantastic idea. They were Soooo good! Definitely a keeper.

Battle Creek Fall Hike

Devin, Julianne, and us decided to hike up Battlecreek Fall. It was a nice hidden treasure and didn't take more than an hour to hike while we went really slow.

Lincoln in his little cave.

It was a beautiful, perfect weather day! I loved the view and just being out in nature. Since we missed going to Yosemite this year I have been trying to get my nature/camping fix for the summer. We have yet to go camping overnight but it will happen!

Our little hiker.

Big Boy Bed!

Lincoln decided he could climb out of the crib and fall to the floor. After two times of hearing him crash to the floor, we decided it was time to convert his crib to a toddler bed. It took a couple nights for him to get used to it but now he loves that he can climb in and out of bed. Sometimes we'll watch movies in his room all together and he will go up and lay on his bed and drink his bottle then come back down and join us. There are days and weeks that he still wants us to lay with him so Sheehan and I have each spent many nights sleeping on his floor so the other can get a decent nights sleep. So some nights continue to be better than others but the decision to "upgrade" his bed was still the right one.

Walking with Daddy!

Sheehan and I are so grateful that his home inspection business has been successful and that he is able to be around during the day more often to be with Lincoln and I. I am really grateful because often times I get to sleep in...Sheehan is really good to help with cleaning, meal times, playing, and going on walks with me even though I know he doesn't like just going for a walk when there is no real destination, he says. I'm grateful that he does it anyway so we can be together just enjoying the sunshine as a family.

Lincoln loves watermelon

Yardwork and Playtime

Lincoln loves to be outside. He loves to splash the water in his play table, watch the people and cars, draw with his chalk, and jabber to Sheehan and I.

I couldn't help but take a picture of my fabulous hair cut. I love it!

Lincoln really wanted to play with the camera on the phone so here is one of the cuter pictures we took together.

Lincoln is on the border of being obsessed with the hose. Sheehan was weeding our yard out front and Lincoln took over the hose spraying job. Sometimes the force of the water knocks him over but he loves it!

Well this is a little backwards but Lincoln is pretty positive that the big green chair is his and little one is for "Da". So Sheehan, like any good man, played along.

We love when cousins come to visit us. Kiley and Lexi are just so cute and Lincoln LOVES playing with them.

Sheehan and I were really proud of ourselves managing to get everyone sitting at the table together with their food. Lincoln is usually not the greatest eater but when Lexi and Kiley are over he becomes this competitive eater and just devours his food. We like when the little Perry ladies come to play!
