Kiersten's 23rd Birthday!

For my birthday I was treated by Aunt Michelle and Uncle Aaron along with almost everybody to lunch at Archilbald's restaurant in Gardner Village. I love walking Gardner Village and looking at all the crafts I would never take the time to do but am happy to see that other people do. I love the big trees, cute houses, and green stream. ;)

My parents also treated Sheehan and I to Tepanyaki; the Hibachi grill. This is pre-gallbladder surgery so the rice and grilled veggies are awesome at a hibachi grill. I always sneak a bite or two of Sheehan's filet mignon though. Despite my off and on health issues this birthday I still enjoyed my visits with my family.

4th of July Weekend!

Papi and Gigi were able to be in town for this 4th of July due to the construction on their basement apartment in the Pleasant Grove house. While Papi and Sheehan worked on the building, the rest of us partied at the Freedom Festival.

I love the parade, which was over 2 hours long this year. We did not sit through the whole thing but did enjoy the last 45 minutes that we woke up for. Like I've mentioned before, waking up early is not what we do so getting to the parade by 9:00 am or the hot air balloon launching at 6:00 am was not going to happen. But we were in time for the Polynesian dance school performance which I always love and was able to convince everyone to stay and watch it with me and by the end they agreed, it's pretty cool.

After the Freedom Festival, Lincoln and I went home for a nap then we continued partying on to the Blair's out in Heber City. I love Heber and I love all of the Blairs. The cool weather and family entertainment is always worth the trip. We kept putting Lincoln and Liam in baby jail (which was supposed to be for the little dogs). Lincoln was the craziest; getting into things and climbing everything. He even managed to bust his lip after climbing up one of the tables. His endless energy always amazes people.

Luckily Jaden and Bailey hooked us up this year with lots of fireworks! Sheehan was the assistant (a.k.a. Fire dept) while we all just sat back and enjoyed the fireworks.

My Mom was good to help me out and let me sit and enjoy the show for a while. She wrapped Link up in a bunch of blankets and tried to get him to fall asleep. It was a good effort then she passed him off to my Dad. Lincoln at some point flailed his arm,hit my Dad's glasses, knocked them off, and knocked out one of the lenses. It was dark so my Dad didn't notice the missing lens until after it had been stepped on. Lincoln-1 vs. Papi's glasses-0.

You can barely see a hint of Sheehan. He kinda reminds me of Where's Waldo? After all he is wearing a red and white striped shirt with jeans...

The Grocery Store

Shopping at the grocery store is nearly impossible. I've had people make many comments some nice and some...interesting. People say he's cute or they say after staring at us, "Oh, we're just watching you struggle." Unless I am moving at a steady pace Lincoln will NOT sit in the cart. He will wiggle out of the belt strapping him in the cart and stand up until I come running; then he falls into my arms. Sometimes I'm not always prepared for this sudden trust fall and I barely managed to catch him before he topples to hard floor.

The only stores I am SO grateful for are the ones that have the carts with the cars at the front. He thinks these are pretty great and that I am just playing. He still gets a little impatient when I stop to check a coupon or price out something. By the time we get to the check out I am sweating and out of breath. Grocery shopping is now an Olympic sport.
