Battle Creek Fall Hike

Devin, Julianne, and us decided to hike up Battlecreek Fall. It was a nice hidden treasure and didn't take more than an hour to hike while we went really slow.

Lincoln in his little cave.

It was a beautiful, perfect weather day! I loved the view and just being out in nature. Since we missed going to Yosemite this year I have been trying to get my nature/camping fix for the summer. We have yet to go camping overnight but it will happen!

Our little hiker.

Big Boy Bed!

Lincoln decided he could climb out of the crib and fall to the floor. After two times of hearing him crash to the floor, we decided it was time to convert his crib to a toddler bed. It took a couple nights for him to get used to it but now he loves that he can climb in and out of bed. Sometimes we'll watch movies in his room all together and he will go up and lay on his bed and drink his bottle then come back down and join us. There are days and weeks that he still wants us to lay with him so Sheehan and I have each spent many nights sleeping on his floor so the other can get a decent nights sleep. So some nights continue to be better than others but the decision to "upgrade" his bed was still the right one.

Walking with Daddy!

Sheehan and I are so grateful that his home inspection business has been successful and that he is able to be around during the day more often to be with Lincoln and I. I am really grateful because often times I get to sleep in...Sheehan is really good to help with cleaning, meal times, playing, and going on walks with me even though I know he doesn't like just going for a walk when there is no real destination, he says. I'm grateful that he does it anyway so we can be together just enjoying the sunshine as a family.

Lincoln loves watermelon

Yardwork and Playtime

Lincoln loves to be outside. He loves to splash the water in his play table, watch the people and cars, draw with his chalk, and jabber to Sheehan and I.

I couldn't help but take a picture of my fabulous hair cut. I love it!

Lincoln really wanted to play with the camera on the phone so here is one of the cuter pictures we took together.

Lincoln is on the border of being obsessed with the hose. Sheehan was weeding our yard out front and Lincoln took over the hose spraying job. Sometimes the force of the water knocks him over but he loves it!

Well this is a little backwards but Lincoln is pretty positive that the big green chair is his and little one is for "Da". So Sheehan, like any good man, played along.

We love when cousins come to visit us. Kiley and Lexi are just so cute and Lincoln LOVES playing with them.

Sheehan and I were really proud of ourselves managing to get everyone sitting at the table together with their food. Lincoln is usually not the greatest eater but when Lexi and Kiley are over he becomes this competitive eater and just devours his food. We like when the little Perry ladies come to play!

Family Lunch at Bridal Veil Fall

Lys, Deven, Devyco, Kiley, Lexi, Lincoln, and I joined up for a late lunch at Bridal Veil Fall. Lincoln and I were a little early so we wandered on the bridge and shared a hot dog and chips together.

He was too busy watching the river to take a picture. I started tickling him to get a smile and he headbutted me. So he is smiling (but still not looking at the camera) and I am wincing from the said headbutt. The headbutting picture is a little more realistic.

After eating some lunch together we walked the rest of the way up the path to the waterfall and little pond at the bottom. Lincoln wanted to play but kept getting frustrated that he was falling over and tripping all over the little rocks. Sometimes he'd just give up and sit down.

Discovery Center with the Perry Girl Cousins!

I love this picture. They all look so cute. For the most part the three of them have a good time together but every once in a while there is some pushing, screaming, etc. Regardless, they are all pretty cute!

Lincoln loves pushing things around like shopping carts and the lawn mower in the picture. He will circle the house for hours so at the Discovery Center we spent a lot of time just mowing the carpet.

This is a giant ball "beehive" run by air pressure. Lincoln loves it and had to fight his way through the older big kids to get a place where you can push a ball in. He held his own pretty well.

Lincoln couldn't get enough of this helicopter. It had a sound simulation and it kinda shook the helicopter it was so powerful and loud. As you can see he is staring at where the sound is coming from. If only you could hear the accompanying squeals of delight and excitement. Kiley in the co-pilot seat was yelling about how much fun she was having and how it was the best day ever.

Water is always a hit at our house so of course it is at the Discovery Center!

Construction site!

Playing in the helicopter!...Again!

Of all the toys he could find and play with he wouldn't put down this old fashioned popper toy. He loves his popper that we have at home and loved the pink one that he found at the discovery center just as much.

The day was a success since very quickly all three of them passed out in their car seats exhausted from so much playing.

The Living Planet Aquarium Part II

We started off summer at the Living Planet aquarium which is moving into a HUGE new building and greatly expanding so we are so excited that we are pass holders and will be able to enjoy the new upgrade. For now though we will settle for the penguins and otters.

Lincoln really liked poking at the fish. That was kind of a highlight for us as first time parents.

Sheehan and Lincoln "inside" the otter exhibit. Lincoln wasn't quite sure what was going on...

Kiley girl and Linko

At the end of the day we came home and got in our jammies and camping chair (Who doesn't have a camping chair in their living room?) to watch TV and eat our snacks. We have the Life!
