Arbor Day

Lincoln and I went and took a trip out to Salt Lake to the Red Butte Garden Arboretum at Utah State University for Arbor Day. Lys, Deven, Devin, and Julianne joined us while Sheehan worked.
Lincoln loves graham crackers. We go through boxes of them every week.

Before our expedition we went to the barber shop for Lincoln's 2nd haircut. He is very good to sit still while they cut his hair which sitting still is typically not in his repertoire.

At the end of our fun day Lincoln did one of his favorite things, which is to play around and wrestle with Daddy. I'm not sure it would be appropriate to title this move shown but I'd say Lincoln won this round. Lincoln-1, Daddy-0

Hospital/Relief Society Service Project

As part of my church calling in the Relief Society Women's Organization I am able to plan activities for the women to get together and learn skills or give service. We decided to do a service project for the pediatric unit of our local hospital Utah Valley Regional Medical Center here in Provo.

We made surgery buddy dolls that are given to children. They have no faces so the kids can decorate them however they like. The doctors use these dolls to show the kids what procedure they are going to have done. The dolls are comforting companions for the children in the hospital.

It went great and I am grateful to all of the ladies that helped this project come together to a make it a reality. The hospital was so grateful. We attached the picture of all of us ladies holding the dolls to every doll given so the children and the family's can know that someone cares, loves, and is praying for them.

Easter Weekend 2013

Easter was so much fun this year! Lincoln makes every holiday so much more exciting. Being a Mom is the best!

I put together Lincoln's little Easter basket with some goldfish stuffed carrots, chocolate candies (of course), and the cute chick stuffed animal. I love Lincoln's chocolate stuffed cheeks!

Saturday evening we dyed eggs at Grandma Bev's with Devin, Julianne, Lys, Deven, and the cousin babies.

The Haub family dying eggs.

Working on our creations.

Lincoln crashed after desperately needing a nap but refusing to go to sleep as usual. There is just too much to see and do. No time for sleeping.

Baby J is adorable!

Our egg creations.

Saturday morning everyone but me :(... went to a community Easter egg hunt. I had to work so I wasn't able to be there for Lincoln's first Easter egg hunt. Sheehan said it was madness and over a thousand eggs were gone in less than five minutes. Lincoln (with a little help from Sheehan...) managed to get a couple eggs.

Cute Kiley girl getting ready to dye eggs!

Happy Easter everybody. As you can see we enjoyed ours!

Happy 4th Anniversary!

Sheehan and I had about a month long anniversary. First we started in February and pawned off Lincoln to my cousin Amber (he loves her) so that we could have an evening (and good night's rest) all to ourselves. We ate at one of the best restaurants (Ruth's Chris) then walked downtown Park City. We booked an awesome hotel right in Park City.

Can you tell we love food and are compelled to take pictures of the beautiful creations?!

Our room was on the 3rd floor up. It even had a hot tub on the balcony AWESOME!!

Our room looked just like this.
We headed off to kneaders in the morning for one of our favorite's, Kneaders French Toast...mmm.

On our actual anniversary we went to the temple and then ate at one of our favorites TEPANYAKI! (I'm beginning to think we have too many "favorites")

Once again, amazing food and company. I'm happy to stick with this guy forever.

This was our wedding cake topper. Unfortunately it broke but at least we have some pictures of it.

Koda's Time In Our Life

We took Koda (Alyssa's Dog) in for a couple months. He is a great dog and Lincoln LOVED him! He would chase him, lay on him, pat him, and Koda took all the "love" with patience.
He's a good pup.

He thought there was something special in this bag. It took a while for him to get the bag off his head.

Me eating lunch on the couch while the beggar on the left and the little beggar on the right licking his lips stared at me...

Lincoln loved playing on Koda's fluffy bed.

Koda wore out after we took him to the park. For a good sized dog he curled up in the tiniest places.

Koda loved to follow us throughout the house and be with us. Even in Lincoln's tornado alley he managed to catch some Zzz's.

We couldn't keep him and now he's with a family that is very good to him. Lincoln and I loved having him for the short time we did.
