Working Woman

I've been working at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center's Inpatient Pharmacy for about a year and a half now. I've learned so much and have had such a great experience.

This is me in the IV Room.

Sheehan and Lincoln boy came to visit me for lunch in the hospital cafeteria. I love my boys!

A few months ago a dear coworker of mine passed away in a motorcycle accident. I used to work with him all the time during the afternoon shift. He's a good man and everyone misses him. Til we meet again, Duane.

Happy Holidays to You!

It's my personal favorite time of year. Mostly because I get to listen to Christmas music ALL THE TIME. Yes, I am one of those people. Lincoln is still too little to quite understand but he loves the music and lights on the tree as much as I do.

It's been so fun having Alyssa and family, Devin and family, and my parents living so close. I can usually get one or all of them to come with me to all of the cute culture activities going on around Utah. One of the main reasons I have come to enjoy Utah are the community activities offered for families. A few years ago, during the pre-children days, Sheehan and I went to the Provo library for a family home evening with the Utah Valley Handbell Ringers. It was a really nice program (not to mention Free) so this year I convinced my Mom and Lyssa to come with me. It was shorter this year, but still really great! Lincoln sat through about two songs ( a record) and Lyssa said it sounded like Disneyland music. We love Disneyland in this family so that is the highest of high compliments. I'm sure we will be returning in future years.

For Thanksgiving this year we went to Grandma Bev's. Grandma has a beautiful yard so we took advantage of the beauty and afternoon lighting to take some family photos. Lincoln had just woke up from a short nap so he wasn't particularly thrilled about the photo session but I think he is still cute looking. :)

Being that I am six months big with child I wanted to decorate the house but couldn't quite get myself there. Fortunately, I have a wonderful Mom and sister that like to help my home get into the Christmas spirit. I fed them homemade turkey pot pie in return. Fair trade??

My Mom gave us garland and lights for the outside of the house. I've collected various Christmas decor from family and friends so they sorted through all that as well and our house looks awesome! Way better than I could have ever put together.

Sheehan was the indian for the day (my Mom being the chief) putting everything up on the house. Lincoln wanted to be a big boy and climbed right up the ladder with no fear. My Mom held his legs as he climbed up and up until she couldn't reach anymore so Sheehan took over. The whole event made my legs shake nervously but Lincoln thought it was pretty awesome.

So with a huge winter storm that blew through 2 days after we put up the decorations, our house looks complete for the Christmas season with a blanket of snow.

Mom, Lys, Julianne, kiddies, and I went to the Festival of Trees together. These were some of my favorite displays.

I made Lincoln his very own felt Christmas tree. He loves it. He loves even more that the ornaments stick to his jammies. He learned very quick that the star goes on the top of the tree and is very careful when placing the ornaments around the tree. He has tried to stick them to the walls too. :) He's learning.

Lincoln Photo Blast 2013

I have gone through hundreds, maybe even over a thousand, photos of the past 2 years that Lincoln came into our family. It is kind of ridiculous how many pictures we have. Many of them just random around the house pictures. I'll caption some of these but doubtful even I will get through them all.

Lincoln loves helping me clean. He especially loves the vacuum. We try to limit him to the shopvac since he tries to vacuum up toys and valuables in the process.

Whenever Sheehan closes himself off in the office Lincoln stands at the door just like the picture and cries/whines. He loves his Daddy.

While I was watching a documentary (one of my favorite things to do), Lincoln decided to stand on the coffee table and play Peek-a-boo. We actually say, "Where's Linko?" he covers his face and then peeks through so we say, "There he is!"

Lincoln loves to climb and has gotten himself into some trouble climbing higher and higher then not knowing how to get back down. He loves to take all the toys off the shelf and then climb up and play inside. Can you spot him?

Blowing raspberries

Lincoln is only a few months old in this cute owl outfit. This is one of Sheehan's many photo sessions that he takes 100 pictures because he is so proud of his boy.

This was a memorable moment because Lincoln has never ever been a cuddler until about this age then he realized how nice it is to lay on Dad for a little while then get back up to run off and play.

He likes to cross his legs when he drinks his bottle and rub his head.

Quarterback!

He fell asleep in church. I think he is about 1 here.

We've been trying to be better about reading books together. Sheehan reads Lincoln some books before bedtime. Lincoln is oftentimes a pantless diaper baby. He's too busy to wait for us to put his pants back on. He has things to do and places to be.

Sheehan enjoys burrito wrapping Lincoln. This is the blanket Gigi made him and he LOVES it. He has to sleep with it every night. When he starts to get tired he goes to find his blanky then drags it around and rubs his sleepy eyes. We have to wash it...a lot.

So when Sheehan lets the crying/whiny boy sitting outside the office come into the office Lincoln thinks it is his job to reorganize everything. He also insists on sitting on your lap playing with the mouse and typing on the keyboard.

Just doing some filing work. Child labor.

Lincoln and this sweet little girl in our ward were born on the exact same day. They are so cute together! It's nice that they have each other in nursery now.

This is one of my favorite shirts. I probably took this picture to get his hair all brushed nice. That usually lasts about 2 minutes.

Playing in the office while Dad works.

He thinks it's pretty hilarious to sit inside the toy bins. Especially if you push him around in them.

One of the very few vegetables Lincoln will eat is potatoes. He only likes mashed potatoes or french fries. He was too independent to ever really let me feed him so I just let him figure it out or not eat. It mostly ends up in his hair so he takes a lot of baths.

Lexi and Linko. They are so cute but I'm sure they were fighting over something. They have a rivalry since they are so close in age.

Just playing on his pretend phone with his legs crossed. Just chillin'...

The only time we every get Lincoln to sit still for an extended period of time is if he is sitting in this tiger chair. He thinks it's pretty great.

Whenever Sheehan vacuums with the shopvac he gives Lincoln a lovely mohawk. They both think it's pretty funny. Whatever entertains them...

Lincoln is one here.

Trying to walk on Grandma Bev's grass and crying because he keeps tripping/falling.

Lincoln will eat cereal every meal of the day just like me.

Who watches movies laying down on the ground when you can climb up right in front of the screen?

Whenever I work Sheehan will send me a picture of him and Lincoln hanging out. I miss them after a couple hours of being away.

Lincoln has become very savvy on my iPhone. He knows how to pull up his favorite shows on Netflix and will watch family videos for hours on the phone. One time Sheehan let him go to bed with my phone hoping he would fall asleep watching the shows. He didn't. He laid there in his bed for over an hour just watching movies. Lincoln thought it was great. Mom and Dad, not so much. We had to pry the phone from him and then he cried himself to sleep. At least he was so tired from staying up so late that the crying and protesting didn't last very long.

Playing with the dump truck he got for Christmas from Papi and Gigi.

A lovely summer photo of Lincoln and I or should I say Superman and I. ;)
Clearly, Sheehan and I are absolutely in love with our little boy.
