These Silly Boys

Bagheera supervising Lincoln's playtime. Lincoln loves Bagheera. I think Bagheera would be a little more fond of Lincoln if he didn't pull his tail while he eats and chase him around the house ending in a full body tackle/body slam. Poor cat. It's amazing he sticks around.

Lincoln is very proud of his drawings. He drew this then kept hiding behind the paper pad when the flash would go off. It's obvious he is hysterically laughing.

Baby Vance has been working on his smiles and giggles too. Lately he has been pulling blankets up to his face and if any of it covers one or both eyes he flails around and holds his breath. Sometimes he does this with toys that he pulls over his eyes. He thinks if one or both eyes are covered then his whole face must be covered therefore he must be suffocating. Day or night we have to constantly listen to make sure he isn't holding his breath.

Morning snuggles and watching cartoons in the rocking chair.

Happy 24th Birthday!

This is the only picture we managed to take on my birthday. We started the night before by going out to eat at Tepanyaki while Lys watched Lincoln. The next morning we met my parents for breakfast after my Mom had picked up my Dad from the airport in SLC. Then we just relaxed the rest of the day at home. It was a bittersweet day since we had some sad news that morning from some of Sheehan's family but we tried to just spend the day together as a family.

One more year down now. I'm a whopping 24 years old!

4th of July

My Mom, Suzette, slept all night out on the street with strangers and having the cops make her move a few times just so that we could have front row street seats to the Freedom Festival 4th of July parade.  She was there from 3 pm July 3rd to 10 am July 4th!

We had quite a crew with the Pezzillo clan, all of us Haubs, the Antaloczy's, and we even squeezed in our Stake President's family. We enjoyed the parade in fat and happy style with Shirley sweet rolls, watermelon, orange juice, and chocolate milk. It was so fun and so delicious! The parade lasted at least 2 hours. It was really fun! I'm not sure who is willing to sleep out on the street for next year's parade...not me....

Lincoln boy loves his Auntie Lyssa.

Lexi, Kiley, and Lincoln boy

Devin and Julianne even brought 2 day old baby Ezra to enjoy part of the parade!

On my way to get the sweet rolls and drinks, early in the morning, I happened to catch the hot air ballon rides at Provo High.

After the parade we walked around the Freedom Festival even though it was a steaming hot day! We all went home to nap then reconvened together at Grandma Bev's to play outside and watch the fireworks across the valley from Grandma's balcony.

Setting off fireworks at Gigi and Papi's before we went to Grandma Bev's.

Grandma has the best view in town and the best toys too!
(The pool playing pics are from the Sunday after 4th of July.)

Pics of my Mom and I at Pioneer Park on Pioneer Day in the sweltering heat playing an old pioneer game. I won with my wit, strength, and balance skills. ;)

Two Boys & Not Enough Mom to go Around

These boys keep me busy. There are days that are really hard and I wonder who in their right mind has so many children? How do they go anywhere or do anything without just losing it? I've definitely had those moments where the baby is screaming in one arm and I'm dragging Lincoln mid-tantrum out of a store with the other arm. Worst thing ever. But then they do something sweet or cute and I remember why I chose to be a Mom. The good moments are fewer but they make me able to get through the hard times.

I love this picture with Lincoln covered in suckers. The poor boy got some shots so we got him some suckers to make life a little better. He did pretty good despite the no-fun shots.

Poor Bagheera is getting less and less time now that we have two littles about. If I'm hanging out on the couch he thinks it is the opportune moment to find a spot on my lap.

Baby Vance is probably about 1 month old here. Lincoln and Vance lived in these sleeper outfits for the first 2 months. I love them. Baby Vance has been so good.

For Easter, Grandma Bev gives the boys money so I had to take a picture of Vance enjoying his new bounty.
Lincoln has really become quite a character. He is so silly. We love our crazy boy.

It is so true that the boys are so much cuter when they are sleeping. Hence the many, many photos of Vance passed out asleep?

The Antaloczy's came to visit so that we could participate in Zach's baptism. Max just wanted to hold Vance. He was really good and very careful. He could check that off his list of vacation to-do's.

Lincoln and Vance hanging out on Mommy's bed. Lincoln has been very careful with his baby brother. Vance is 2 weeks old here.

I try to give Lincoln my time and attention. It doesn't always happen. If I'm being honest a lot of times I end up sitting on the couch holding the baby and watching documentaries or catching up on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. But every once in a while I turn off the tv, put down the baby, and play with Lincoln. One day we made theses chocolate pumpkin muffins together with a m&m on each one. He loves cooking with me. It requires some heavy supervision but he does pretty good.

I know Lincoln is going to miss his dirt construction site in our front yard when we get the landscaping done. He will play out there for hours.

Yosemite Trip With Gigi

After going through the bridge we came out to see this Beautiful and familiar view. I can see that view every year and be just as struck by how amazing it is every time. It is just unreal.

After leaving for Vegas on Friday evening, then going to the beach Sunday night, Sheehan flew back home to work Thursday morning. Since I am now a stay-at-home mom and have no pending schedules I thought I'm going to take the boys and keep having a great time! And we did.

We hadn't even parked in the Lodge before we saw our first bear! I haven't seen a bear in years so this was very exciting. My Mom got really close to the bear and was holding Lincoln. Lincoln kept pointing and saying, "Duck!" The ranger was close by and started laughing.
We also saw a bear on our drive out of the park. They are just such beautiful animals. If I were to be any animal in the world it would be a Yosemite bear. They have it good!

After checking in we walked across the street to see Yosemite Fall. I was surprised how full the fall was despite it being so dry this year.

We stayed in the Yosemite Lodge for my Mom and I's first time ever! It was so cool! Now my Mom never wants to stay in Yosemite any other way. The lodge or bust. She is going to leave the camping to us young families. Although I'm sure the boys love the dirt tent camping, Lincoln and Vance were really happy to go back to the cool, quiet room to nap and take a nice bath!

I really enjoyed this trip and, for the most part, the boys did really good. Lincoln had minimal meltdowns and Vance was happy as ever just hanging in the baby carrier.

The park was packed as usual. Gotta love the tram. People were really nice to let me sit with the baby and let my Mom have a seat with Lincoln.

On Sunday my Dad was able to come up and join us. We went to the cute little chapel and attended sacrament there. I love when the timing works out for us to be able to go to church in Yosemite. Before church started we let Lincoln play in the woods. He thought he was so cool climbing the rocks, jumping off them, crawling through the fallen trees, and throwing sticks. He is all boy.

Before church this biker gang pulled into the chapel parking lot. At first, my judgmental self, thought, "Great! These inconsiderate people are filling up our parking lot and members that want to attend are not going to be able to park." Turns out these tough looking bikers are faithful Latter-day Saints. Their biker club as shown in the picture below is the Sons of Helaman and their symbol is a sword and it says Return With Honor. They were so nice and so cool. My Dad was ready to buy a motorcycle again and sign up! Lincoln liked their shiny motorcycles.

Little baby Vance was happy to sit in the stroller like a big guy and just give us smiles. He is so sweet!

After church we walked around the valley floor and got some lunch.

We, of course, had our yearly Awhanee dream drinks. So yummy! Even baby Vance had some cool whip thanks to Papi.

We ended Sunday with a walk through Happy Isles. My Dad was so fun and relaxed. It was really nice having him around. He played with Lincoln and held baby Vance. I'm really glad he came up for the day.

I love Happy Isles in Yosemite. We've been coming here since I was a baby and I just can't get enough of it. I will always want to come back as often as possible and enjoy this beautiful place that I love. It makes me so happy to see my boys here and enjoy Yosemite as much as I do.

It is so nice to have my Mom around. Lincoln cannot get enough of his Gigi. Going and doing things is so much easier when I have my Mom there to help me. I'm really grateful I have such a good relationship with my Mom and that she wants to spend time with me and my boys.

On the drive home we saw some amazing views. It was long but very pretty.

On the drive home we stopped at this famous Mobil Gas Station in Le Vine. They have a restaurant inside that offers gourmet food and amazing desserts. It is some of the best food I've ever had and so worth the pit stop. So Good.
